SEGMENT 1

​

Segment One of driver education consists of a minimum of 24 hours of classroom instruction, a minimum of six hours of behind-the-wheel instruction and a minimum of four hours of observation time in a training vehicle.  Upon successful completion of Segment One and the Segment One Knowledge Test, a Segment One Certificate of Completion will be issued to your teen.  After completing Segment One, your teen is ready to apply for a Level I License.

Both you and your teen must go to a Secretary of State branch office to apply for the Level I License.

Please call to sign up for class prior to registration.  The cost for Segment 1 is $450.00.  A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a spot in any of our classes. Registration (filling out the paperwork) begins 15 minutes prior to the class start time.

Please call the office to make other arrangements if you can not be here at the time of registration.

 

PLEASE NOTE:  Drives may not be finished by the last day of class so do not schedule an appointment with the Secretary of State for a Level I License (permit) until your child has received his/her Segment I completion certificate.

What to Bring for Segment One Registration:

Original Birth Certificate (student must be at least 14 years & 8 months)

Parent or legal guardian to sign contract

Payment of the remaining balance of class tuition (we accept cash, check, credit/debit card)
